On Sunday, Real Madrid captain Raúl is likely to make his 500th Primera División appearance when his club travels to RCD Mallorca.
Raúl will become the sixth player in Primera División history to reach this milestone. Former Athletic Bilbao, FC Barcelona and Valencia CF goalkeeper Andoni Zubizarreta holds the record with 622 Primera División appearances, according to Infostrada.
Furthermore, Raúl will become the second player to represent Real Madrid 500 times in a league match. Manuel Sanchís holds the record with 523.
