On Sunday, 17-year-old Federico Macheda became the youngest goalscorer in this season's Premier League when he scored the winning goal for Manchester United against Aston Villa (3-2).
The previous youngest goalscorer this season was Macheda's teammate Danny Welbeck at 17 years and 355 days.
On 10 April 2005, Everton’s James Vaughan became the youngest goalscorer in the Premier League era at 16 years and 270 days.
