Az Almaar Dutch Eredivisie champion? What an improvement!
On Saturday, AZ can clinch the Dutch 2008/2009 Eredivisie title if they beat Vitesse at home. The Alkmaar based club will then have improved from an 11th place finish in the previous season.
Only DWS and Ajax have won the Eredivisie after finishing in a lower position in the previous season. According to Infostrada Sports, if AZ win the championship it will be their second title after winning the Eredivisie in 1980/1981.

Federico Macheda profile: teenager able to score
On Sunday, 17-year-old Federico Macheda became the youngest goalscorer in this season's Premier League when he scored the winning goal for Manchester United against Aston Villa (3-2).
The previous youngest goalscorer this season was Macheda's teammate Danny Welbeck at 17 years and 355 days.
