Clubs from 22 countries played in the Champions League in the competition’s first four seasons from 1992/1993. Only seven new countries had provided clubs to the competition since the 1996/1997 season but two more, Belarus and Cyprus, have qualified in 2008/2009, according to Infostrada.
These performances could be very important in the future. In spite of the Groups are not easy, they could earn some points for the UEFA rankings. Both teams have play three qualifying rounds, like these other teams in the history.
